Do you suffer from recurring pain in your neck, shoulders or upper back? Do you struggle with headaches? Work at a desk on a computer all day?

Our current tech-heavy lifestyle, whether it be using computers, tablets, or smart phones, can wreak havoc on the optimum alignment and balance of the musculature of the upper back, neck, and shoulders. Constantly looking down at our devices with a forward head position causes major imbalances in the neck musculature and can lead to or exacerbate pain in the neck and shoulder area.

Join Pierre Rouzier, MD, primary care sports physician at UMass Amherst and a certified yoga instructor, to learn how yoga can help reduce your neck and upper back pain. Part discussion and part practice, you’ll learn yoga postures to make your body happy, how to improve your work posture and you’ll develop a daily routine to prevent further injuries. This workshop is for all levels of practitioners, including those new to yoga.
