Yin Yoga & Reiki Workshop

TEACHERS: STEVE SAMPSON & CHRISTY ZIELINSKI
BACK ROOM
COST: $40

Join Steve Sampson and Christy Zielinski to welcome the new season with an afternoon of yin yoga and reiki!

The Fall Equinox is approaching, one of only two days in the year that our length of night and day are in balance.  With that fluctuation throughout the year, nature reminds us that finding balance is dynamic process, not static occurrence. Change is constant, our lives continually in flux.  Our practice is a process of respecting that evolving energy, and connecting to what your mind and body may need any particular day to move towards harmony.

All Levels are welcome.

More about Yin Yoga:

Physically, yin yoga targets the dense connective tissue in our body, helping to build resilience and maintain mobility. Floor postures are passively held for longer periods of time with a moderate level of sensation. Yin yoga is a fantastic complement to more “yang” physical activities such as vinyasa yoga, weight training, or running, which generally target muscles with dynamic movement and repetition to build strength and endurance. The relative stillness and longer poses allow space for meditative reflection, while nourishing and enhancing the flow of energy through our bodies.

More about Reiki:

Reiki is an energy work therapy suitable to people of all ages and states of health. Reiki promotes the function of our vital life force energy which can help ease tension, stress and support the body to facilitate an environment for healing on all levels. Reiki is especially effective for people who have suffered physical or emotional trauma and chronic anxiety.  When receiving Reiki, you may feel a warming sensation or a tingling during the session or nothing at all but sheer relaxation. Reiki recipients leave their sessions feeling deeply relaxed, renewed and replenished. This gentle non-invasive therapy assists the body and mind in balancing physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.
