Let’s Roll: Therapy Ball Self-Massage for Neck and Shoulders

TEACHER: SUSAN MOORE
COST: $30
IN PERSON ONLY

Neck and shoulder tension and pain are all too common in our culture. Hours spent in front of screens forces us to fixate the head and eyes on one spot, often with a rounded spine. Holding this position for long periods of time can interfere with breathing and lead to changes in bones and muscles that are hard to undo when we step away from the screen.

In this workshop we will use therapy balls, hands-on self-massage, and movement to return freedom and ease throughout the neck, shoulders, and upper spine. We’ll explore practices to enhance breathing, helping free up the flow of energy and leading to greater inner ease and comfort. We’ll end with a simple flow practice that will allow you to integrate and enjoy the changes you created. The workshop is suitable for all levels, even those new to yoga.
