So today I thought it would be helpful to break down these myths so everyone can enjoy the benefits of this practice — both physical and mental.
Let’s dive into five of the most common myths about yoga and debunk them once and for all!
Myth 1: You Have to Be Flexible to Do Yoga
The Truth: Saying you aren’t flexible enough to practice yoga is like saying you are too dirty to take a bath.
You don’t have to be able to touch your toes—or even get close—to start practicing yoga. Flexibility is not a prerequisite; it's a result of practice. Yoga is for everyone, no matter how tight your muscles are. The beauty of yoga is that it meets you exactly where you are, and over time, it helps improve both your flexibility and strength.
