All are welcome to attend this free Pilates mat class. If you are a beginner to an advanced student, there is always a way of connecting to this practice. We will focus on strength, stretch, stamina, and stability. You will be guided through a series of Pilates exercises in a classical, systematic and integrative approach. You will leave feeling taller, more connected to your center and experience more ease in your every day. Perhaps you'll feel happier and more energized!
Christine Jenks is a certified Classical Power Pilates Instructor (since 2014), a graduate of The Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and alumni of The Boston Conservatory. She is passionate about helping others feel better from the inside out through physical activity, clean eating, and mindset. She believes life is meant to be enjoyed and to embrace the knowledge gained from the lows in life. With a professional dance career spanning over fifteen years, Christine performed in Boston, New York City, Las Vegas and sailed around the world with Holland America. Her claim to fame, she was a Las Vegas Showgirl! Christine was first introduced to Pilates in NYC. The method made sense to her and at that time she knew one day she would get certified and share this method with others. Through her teaching, she has witnessed her clients be relieved from chronic pain, stand taller, display more confidence, and move with ease; creating an overall sense of well being. Christine has also taught dance, spin, TotalBarre, TRX, and Zumba. Her favorite quote by Joseph Pilates, “Change happens through movement and movement heals.”
