“Attention [is to] the process of adjustment, rather than any one particular adjustment…” – Moshe Feldenkrais, from ‘Body and Mature Behavior’
Do you have difficulty sleeping? Do you often wake up stiff and sore and wonder if you’re doing something while you are sleeping to cause your stiffness?
We all know sleep is essential to good health, and feeling rested and rejuvenated after a good night’s sleep helps us be more energized and engaged in our daily activities.
In this workshop we will explore the ways in which we may be maintaining our habitual movement patterns, even while we sleep. Workshop will include exploration of two Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lessons and will include time for discussion and questions. We will explore lessons that encourage ease of breath and relaxation that help calm the nervous system to prepare you for sleep, as well as help you learn about your movement habits and how to use awareness to reduce tension.
No experience necessary – all are welcome!
